USING UP MY FABRIC STASH !

I have been using up my fabric stash.....in order to buy some more wonderful fabrics !!  It never ends for us quilters / sewers !
Have wanted to do something for our community....so went searching for a pattern to make walker caddies.  There were many to chose from, but I liked this one. The only thing I changed was the buttons. Used velcro instead.  Took some to one nursing home a couple weeks ago, am finishing up more to take.  They are fun and easy to make.
I like this style because it stabilizes the pouch with the tabs around the legs.  While recovering  from my reconstructive foot surgery last year, I had to use a walker and hop on one leg for two months !  What an ordeal.  Just before my surgery I quickly threw together a bag to hang on my walker.  Well after only a few days it was surmised fast, that a big bag would be better.  Then the darn thing would swing back and forth with whatever I had stashed in it.
This bag for the nursing homes has the center pocket and two pockets on either side. Enough storage and "doesn't swing out."  :)   That is a good thing.

HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter to you and your family!   Jesus is Risen Indeed !  And because of what He has done on the cross, bearing all of our sins, we can have a relationship with Him and the Father.   As stated in scripture  "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. "
I always say....period.  All other are false religions, man's imagination.  God the Creator of all is the only one that has determined how to come to Him.  The Bible is the only book that is the Truth.  Prophecy is fulfilled down through the ages.  All other false books are just that. None can boast of prophecy fulfilled.
Our sins were hung on the cross with Jesus. AMEN !
May you enjoy this special weekend and Spring Day, reveling in the Re-birth of our world.

EASTER BUNNY DOLL SWAP

Here is the doll that Bev Torres made for me in the Bunny Doll Swap that Susan O'Conner of Rabbit Hollow Prims put together.
The swap was so much fun as the others have been .  I feel like another friend has been found !
Isn't this design of Bev's adorable.  The curled toes and hands are adorable. She did a fantastic job on her.

EASTER BUNNY DOLL SWAP

Susan O'Conner of Rabbit Hollow Prims had another swap for us ladies.  I was partnered with Bev Torres.  This is the Easter Doll that I made for Bev.  She was approx. 20" tall.  An osanberg cloth body that was tea-dyed. I used vintage linen for the inner part of her ears. Love to add bling so made a nylon net petticoat. The eggs in the basket were made with paper mache' pulp, then I painted them white with a staining over them. She hasn't decided what color to paint her Easter eggs.  Will post pictures of the rabbit doll Bev made for me just as soon as the weather is sunny and can get a good shot.

SADIE MAE IN MY STUDIO

This is a photo of my fat Tuxedo Girl , Sadie Mae.   She loves to lay on the floor by my sewing machine , or once in a while she will jump onto my chair if I move for a while.  She is definitely a momma's girl!  She was a rescue kitty. A family was unable to keep her, so she came to our home and hearts.  Aren't God's companions wonderful! This photo actually makes her look slimmer than reality.  One of these days will get a good shot of her sitting with white belly showing.
